Embracing Technology

Over a month ago I decided I was going to stop avoiding the internet and start embracing it. I learnt about blogs, facebook, Twitter and Google Adwords, along with all sorts of techy terminology that I can now use to impress my friends.

I have even come to enjoy being in front of the computer screen, but not as much as I enjoy being behind the lens or spending time with my family :-)

Who knows by this time next year I might even understand the intricate workings of my website.

A Kiwi Summer

The days are getting warmer and the nights longer.

Today was spent at the beach with eight energetic toddlers. Salt air, laughter, picnics, waves crashing, seashells, driftwood and sand in your shoes! This is the kiwi summer .... bring it on.

Close Ups

"Did you say it was time for my close up?"

It is moments like these that remind me why I love being a photographer, a magical moment from behind the lens caught by his mum.

Staying in the Picture

The Mom Stays in the Picture

This article got me thinking. As a photographer I am so busy taking photo's that I forget to be on the other side of the camera.

I did find one though. Me and my wonderful husband at the Mission concert, here in the wonderful Hawke's Bay.

Stepping Into the Electronic World

My friend is doing an E-Business course at the local EIT and has taken Tetia McDonald Photograher on as per pet project. Her aim is to increase my online presence and we are taking the first step with this blog. This isn't a photography blog, it is a glimpse into the world of Tetia McDonald, the person behind the shutter.

Behind the shutter of my dream camera.

Of course I want the works including the wireless transmitter.
